About the Secret Society
Back in 2006, when Mika was still unknown (yes that time did exist) and about to make it big, he started a secret society. This society consisted of people who were friends with him on MySpace, were over 18 years old and available to hand out flyers for example when Mika was going to do a gig. In exchange for that, the members got to go to gigs for free or get goodies. After Mika made it big, the secret society however died a slow death.
Fast forward to 2010, Mika is still selling out huge venues, but chart wise, his amazing songs are not picked up by the crowds and his second album, however brilliant, didn't do as well as Life in Cartoon Motion. So it's time for us to come into action because we know that Mika deserves number 1 hits and millions of album sales. And because we want to see him do well, instead of passively buying his album and going to his gigs, we want to do more, because we believe in him and think the world should know all about him.
So when someone on the MFC started a thread about what a pity it was that the society died such an early death, the idea was born to revive the Secret Society. Not for the rewards because there aren't any. Just the satisfaction of supporting your favorite artist. We do it because we care about him and want him to reach the absolute top.
We do have one simple guideline though when promoting Mika in any way possible. And that is respect. We don't want to get a bad reputation or give Mika a bad reputation. So when we promote, we do it with respect. We're not harassing radio stations to play his songs or tv stations to play his videos and we will not force people to listen to them on the streets. Our goal is to make them curious, hear the awesomeness and hopefully lure them into the Mika world.
